Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 4 January 2007

Christmas Thank Yous

`COULD I, through your paper, thank the management, volunteers, wonderful singing group and the visiting priest, who gave us a day to remember.
It was wonderful from start to finish. Thank you all. It was the essence of what Christmas is.
All this took place at St Pancras Community Centre, St Pancras Way. A thanks also to Marks and Spencer, they never forget the local community.
God bless all.

• I WOULD like to convey my thanks to all the professionals who helped me after I fell and broke my ankle on the tenth of this month.
Paramedics Mark and David, from Camden ambulance station handled me with great care and took me swiftly to the Royal Free.
At the hospital I would like to thank George and the A&E team Malik, Eduardo and their colleagues in the SAU and Kinnall B, Tony in the plaster room and Dr Parker who talked to me there.
My surgeons were Mr Bruton and Mr Maruthinar, also thanks to my doctor Dr Somaskanthan.
Finally a word for all the ward domestic staff and porters, the newspaper lady and the driver who brought me safely home.
The food was excellent and delivered hot to my bedside.
I found no reason to disagree with the gentleman in the bed opposite mine who said: “You’re all right here mate, this is the best hospital in London.”

• ON December 19, The North Camden Chorus sang carols around Hampstead Village to raise the money for the annual children’s party on Riddell Ward at the Royal Free Hospital.
We raised £557 in just over three hours and would like to say a big thank you to everybody who dropped money in our buckets, and to the management of Hampstead Underground, the Flask, King William IV, Three Horseshoes, Holly Bush, Villa Bianca and Cafe Rouge for letting us sing and collect.
If you liked the sound we made, why not join us? We meet every Tuesday locally, and there are no auditions. Look at our website www.ncchorus.org.uk<http://www.ncchorus. org.uk/> – or call 020 7267 2307 for details.
